Lost the mobile number you used when getting your TIN?

Income Tax· 1 min read

Many people think they cannot file if they no longer have the number used when their TIN was issued. That is not the case.

  • The number used for the TIN is not required for e-Return registration.
  • Any SIM biometrically registered with your own NID can be used.
  • After registering, you can change your mobile number from your profile.

Do not use a number registered to someone else. Registration will fail and your TIN may be blocked.

Please note: tax law, the Finance Act and the online system can change every fiscal year. Check the latest National Board of Revenue (NBR) guidance before acting.
